Most recliners are made for the large people that so much of America has become. We are 125-155 lbs, and 5'5" - 5'9". For most chairs, our feet don't even reach the floor! We are not THAT small. And most chairs are nearly wide enough for us both to sit in them at once - OK, maybe a little exaggeration there, but most are too wide to be comfortable. Flexsteel is an excellent brand, the only knock is they are expensive. Their mechanism is very quiet and smooth operating.
