Futon Loveseats are great for providing the maximum sleeping and sitting space in the minimum of floor space. They are ideal for small guest rooms, home-offices, porches or any other space where the 80-85" of wall space needed for a full-size bifold futon frame just isn't there. With a full-size loveseat, you can fit a conventional full-size bed (54" x 75") into 60" of wall space. With a twin-size loveseat, you can fit a conventional twin-size bed (39" x 75") into 45" of wall space. Traditionally, space saving futons were trifold frames in which a thin, mostly cotton futon mattress futon mattress was folded over the back of the frame. Unfortunately these mattresses are not very comfortable or durable and the trifold futon frames are difficult to convert and un-attractive.
A more recent development is the Futon Loveseat which uses a two-piece futon mattress to get the maximum comfort in the minimum space. A Futon Loveseat is basically a smaller bifold futon with a separate ottoman for conversion to a bed or lounger.
